Scottie Callaghan (Australian Barista Champion 2010, 3rd place at World Baritsa Championship 2010 & LatteArt World Champion) developed the Dosing Tools to give baristas flexibility, control and a reference point when dosing with fresh coffee. The Dosing Tools were developed for Baristas who have found the need to adjust their dose consistently across different machines, baskets, portafilters and coffee types helping to minimise variables in producing great espresso.
Home users can equally use the tools to achieve better consistency in their coffee to improve the quality of their espresso.
These tools are highly recommended if you wish to get the best results from VST filter baskets as they allow the dose to be accurately and consistently adjusted to the same point.
There are 4 sizes kits available: 3, 15, 30 & 40. The greater the number of pieces in the kit, the smaller the difference between adjacent tool numbers and thus the greater the control you have over the dose.
